The real thing — GI-certified Sanganeri hand block print bedsheets.

A Sanganeri bedsheet is printed by hand in Sanganer, Jaipur, using hand-carved wooden blocks — fine floral butis and jaals stamped one impression at a time on pure cotton. The craft holds a Geographical Indication tag (GI, 2009), and every bedsheet here is genuinely hand block printed: no screen prints sold under a Sanganeri label. King, double and single sizes, each with two pillow covers, azo-free dyes and honest specs.

Questions

About sanganeri bedsheets

How is a real Sanganeri bedsheet different from a 'jaipuri print' bedsheet online?

Most marketplace 'jaipuri' bedsheets at ₹300–600 are machine screen prints on 104–144 thread-count cotton. A real Sanganeri bedsheet is stamped by hand with carved wooden blocks — you can see slight registration shifts and deeper pigment where the block pressed. Ours state craft, thread count and dye class on every listing.

What does a genuine Sanganeri bedsheet cost?

Hand block king sets with two pillow covers run ₹1,999–2,999 here; natural-dye signature pieces ₹3,999–4,499. Genuine hand work below roughly ₹1,500 for a king set is rare — that price usually signals screen print.

Will the colours fade after washing?

Fading after one or two washes is the most common complaint with cheap printed bedsheets. Ours use azo-free pigment or natural dyes, fixed properly: cold-wash separately the first two times, dry in shade, and the print settles in for years.

Is the Sanganeri craft really GI-protected?

Yes — Sanganeri hand block printing received its Geographical Indication in 2009 (certificate issued 2010). It legally ties the name to the hand-block craft of Sanganer; we print within that tradition and say so on each product.
