Quilted Bedcovers & Kantha

Hand block quilted bedcover sets, one-of-one kantha quilts & duvet covers

A quilted bedcover is the finished top layer of a made bed — a hand block printed cotton face, light cotton batting and a full backing, quilted through and edged, sold as a set with matching pillow cases. Kantha pieces take another route: layered cotton held by thousands of hand-run stitches, so no two are ever alike. Both crafts are labelled exactly here — block print as Sanganeri (GI 2009), kantha as kantha — with sizes, fills and dyes disclosed.

About Quilted Bedcovers & Kantha

What is the difference between a bedcover and a bedsheet?

A bedsheet is the layer you sleep on; a bedcover is the decorative quilted layer that dresses the made bed by day and adds light warmth by night. Our bedcover sets include two matching pillow cases and sit over any bedsheet.

What does a hand block quilted bedcover cost?

King sets run ₹5,999–6,499 and double sets ₹4,999 here — quilting a printed face, batting and backing is a full extra production stage over a flat sheet. Machine-quilted marketplace bedcovers at ₹1,800–2,700 use screen-printed faces.

Is every kantha quilt really unique?

Yes — kantha is hand running-stitch over layered cotton, so stitch density, texture and fabric mix vary piece to piece. Product photos are representative; your piece is its own edition.

Can these be washed at home?

Kantha throws and duvet covers, yes — cold gentle machine wash. Quilted bedcovers prefer a gentle cycle in a large-drum machine or dry clean once a season; all pieces shade-dry.
