A block print bedsheet is a cotton sheet whose pattern is stamped by hand, one motif at a time, with carved wooden blocks — not by machine or screen. Ours are true Sanganeri bedsheets: printed in Sanganer, Jaipur, the craft granted a Geographical Indication in 2009 (certificate issued 2010), using hand-carved sheesham blocks and azo-free or natural dyes on 180–210 thread-count cotton. Every jaipuri bedsheet here carries an honest craft label — hand block means hand block, never screen print.

Why does a jaipuri bedsheet here cost ₹2,199–4,499 when marketplaces sell them for ₹300?
Those ₹295–999 'jaipuri prints' are screen-printed on 120–144 TC cotton by machine, hundreds of metres an hour. A genuine hand block print bedsheet takes a printer half a day of stamping with hand-carved blocks on 180–210 TC cotton, with azo-free or natural dyes. Our MRPs are honest too — a modest anchor, not 80% discount theatre.
How do I know a Sanganeri bedsheet is genuinely hand block printed?
Look for the tells: slight shifts where two block repeats meet, minute dye-pressure variation within a motif, and the print showing through on the reverse. Screen prints are mechanically uniform. Sanganeri hand block printing holds a Geographical Indication (2009, certificate 2010); every sheet we sell is printed in Sanganer, Jaipur and labelled hand block only when it is.
Will the colours fade after two washes?
This is the most common complaint against cheap screen prints, and the reason we publish dye class on every product. Our sheets use azo-free reactive dyes (or natural dyes on Signature sheets) that bond with the cotton fibre. Expect a small, even release of excess dye in the first cold wash — after that the print settles and mellows gracefully rather than washing out. Always wash cold, separately the first time, and dry in shade.
