Sanganer is one home of hand block printing; Ajrakh (Kutch–Sindh, resist-dyed geometry in indigo and madder), Bagru (black-and-red syahi-begar prints) and dabu (mud-resist) are its sister crafts. This edit brings selected pieces from those traditions — dupattas, fabric and home linen — each labelled with its own craft name and origin. Honest naming is the whole point: nothing here is called Sanganeri unless it is.

What is the difference between Ajrakh and Sanganeri print?
Ajrakh is a resist-dye craft of geometric symmetry in deep indigo-madder, traditionally from Kutch and Sindh; Sanganeri is fine floral block printing on light grounds from Sanganer, Jaipur. Different regions, blocks, palettes — both hand crafts, and we label each precisely.
Why include other crafts on a Sanganeri site?
Because block-print lovers collect across the belt — and because honest labelling is our core promise. Buying Ajrakh as Ajrakh here beats buying it mislabelled as 'Sanganeri' elsewhere.
Are these pieces GI-certified too?
Ajrakh and Bagru have their own craft traditions and protections; our listings state each piece's actual craft and origin rather than borrowing Sanganer's GI. What is certified as what is always written on the product.
