An original Jaipuri razai for double beds (90×100 in) in the classic construction: a fine mulmul cotton cover hand block printed with a rose jaal in Sanganer, filled with ~450 g of hand-carded cotton and hand-tacked so the fill never bunches. At well under a kilogram it is the razai Jaipur is famous for — feather-light on the body, genuinely warm for October-to-March northern winters.

How to wear
Use it as the top layer over a plain sheet — a jaipuri razai works by lofting, so avoid pressing it under heavier blankets. Sun it for an hour at the start and end of winter to revive the loft, store folded loosely in the cloth bag provided, and dry clean rather than machine wash.

How warm is a 450 g mulmul razai really?
Carded cotton insulates by trapped air, not mass — this weight comfortably covers 12–20°C bedrooms, i.e. most Indian winters outside the December–January north. For colder rooms, choose our Heavy Winter razai at roughly double the fill.
Is the cover genuinely hand block printed?
Yes — the rose jaal is stamped block by block in Sanganer, and you can find the repeat joins along the length. Screen-printed 'jaipuri' razais are the bulk of the market; ours carry the GI-certified Sanganeri label because they have earned it.
Can I machine wash it?
No — machine washing clumps carded cotton permanently. Spot-clean the cover, give it short seasonal sunning, and dry clean when needed. Treated this way a razai serves 8–10 winters before the fill wants re-carding.
