About this piece
A double-bed (90×100 in) jaipuri AC quilt: a light ~300 g carded-cotton fill inside a pastel chidiya buti cover — sparrows and sprigs hand block printed in Sanganer. Honest label: unlike our razais, AC quilts are machine-quilted in channels so the light fill stays put through regular use; the printing is still entirely by hand. Made for air-conditioned bedrooms every night of the year.

Size guide
Every listing states its exact size in Specifications above — this chart is here so you can compare across sizes before you buy.
How to wear
Keep it folded at the foot of the bed and pull it up when the AC bites — it is deliberately lighter than a winter razai. Because it is machine-quilted, this one can take a gentle cold machine wash with mild detergent; dry flat in shade and the pastel print keeps its softness.
Frequently asked
What makes an AC quilt different from a razai?
Fill weight and stitching. An AC quilt carries about a third of a winter razai's carded cotton and is machine-quilted in channels so it survives frequent washing; a razai is hand-tacked and dry-clean only. We label both honestly — the hand work here is in the block printing.
Can this one really go in the washing machine?
Yes — gentle cycle, cold water, mild detergent, and dry flat in shade. The quilting channels hold the light fill in place through washes, which is exactly why we machine-quilt this construction.
Is it warm enough for winter?
Not for real winter — it is built for AC rooms and warm-season nights. For October–March cold, step up to the mulmul razai (~450 g) or heavy-winter razai (~900 g).
